Maceration on marc for 3 weeks, with pumping of the must over the skins twice a day; after drawing-off, the wine is racked twice and then goes for ageing.
The wine matures for 12 months in oak barrels and for a further 2 months in bottle prior to release.
Ruby red with faint garnet highlights; airy, slightly, grassy and characteristic aroma; it reveals sweetish scents of fruit and vanilla, interwoven with a subtle spiciness and a light, characteristic herbaceous tone (and even a hint of leather). Its taste is dry and well-balanced, with mouth-filling tannins that draw out the flavour into an elegant, harmonious finish. Fine with first courses dressed with meat or mushroom sauces. Ideal partner for roasts and game.
75 cl Bordeaux-style bottles.
