Vinification

Maceration on marc for 3 weeks, with pumping of the must over the skins twice a day; after drawing-off, the wine is racked twice and then goes for ageing.

Maturation

The wine matures for 12 months in oak barrels and for a further 2 months in bottle prior to release.

Tasting note

Ruby red with faint garnet highlights; airy, slightly, grassy and characteristic aroma; it reveals sweetish scents of fruit and vanilla, interwoven with a subtle spiciness and a light, characteristic herbaceous tone (and even a hint of leather). Its taste is dry and well-balanced, with mouth-filling tannins that draw out the flavour into an elegant, harmonious finish.

Fine with first courses dressed with meat or mushroom sauces. Ideal partner for roasts and game.
