The crushed fruit macerates for 3 weeks, with pumping of the must over the skins twice a day; after drawing-off, the wine is racked twice and then goes for ageing.
The wine matures for 10 months in oak barrels and for a further 2 months in bottle prior to release.
Ruby red with faint garnet highlights. On the nose it reveals sweetish scents of fruit and vanilla, interwoven with a subtle spiciness and a light, characteristic herbaceous tone (and even a hint of leather). Its taste is dry and well-balanced, with mouth-filling tannins that draw out the flavour into an elegant, harmonious finish.
